Oh new Die Hard trailer, stop. You don’t need to include a motorcycle babe’s boobs, shotguns, cars exploding in a Moscow street like a string of firecrackers, a fantastic, sarcastic one-liner, choral music and that Bruce Willis smirk… you had me at an attack helicopter wasting people with a minigun:

Today’s a special day, one that’s only happened five times so far in history. Today is the day that the trailer for a Die Hard film arrives – in this case for A Good Day to Die Hard, which sees everyone’s favourite dick John McClane taking the action to Moscow.

Directed by John Moore (Max Payne, Behind Enemy Lines), the film may be crafting an exit strategy for Willis (who has claimed to want to limit his participation to two more films): lantern-jawed and incredibly ripped dude Jai Courtney (Spartacus: Blood in the Sand) has been cast as McClane’s estranged son.

What remains to be seen is whether the film will return to “yippee-kay-ai, motherf***er” tradition: the last installment purposefully avoided the franchise’s traditional “R” rating, to more than a few Bronx cheers.
