On Sale Now: The Drive Scorpion Jacket

Fear not, fellow wanters-to-dresser-uppers-as-Ryan-Gosling's-character-from-Drive: while Steady Clothing's first officially licensed run of replica Scorpion Jackets has sold out, a second run will ship before X-Mas. Good thing, too... while my American Optics aviators help me look like a cool-ass combination of the guy from Mad Men and Goose from Top Gun (stupid show-off Maverick wore Ray Bans, like a show-off would), there's nothing in my wardrobe that really effectively communicates to strangers that I, like Gosling's Drive character, am a psychotically violent, quite possibly Autistm-Spectrum-residing weirdo that not only watches too many movies, but wants to dress up like characters from movies that have themselves watched too many movies.

Plus it's made of satin, which is a really luxurious, self-indulgent fabric that just feels nice, and the giant scorpion on the back lets people know that while you value feeling fancy, you also like killing things, too. And bugs. And embroidery.

$160 bones, and I'm a large if anyone was wondering.
