The Muppets Cold Diss Fox News

For the minority of people who know nothing about The Muppets, even though they are obviously puppets, the gag, as it were - the thing that's at the heart of the show's genius if we're going to put a fine point on it -is that are always treated in promotional appearances like they are real living... talking animals. Who are also actors, with careers as entertainers. It makes a lot of sense when you're 8, and it becomes one of those things that hurts to think about when you're not... 8, anymore. 

Anyway, as such, it is not really an odd thing that Kermit and Miss Piggy would give a press conference (seen on YouTube on Leicester Square TV) for the UK premiere of their new film.  It’s even less odd that they would use the press conference to respond to Fox News’ criticism of the film as having a liberal agenda against capitalism and oil companies.  Kermit says that the Muppets aren’t against oil companies, since they "spent the entire film in a gas-guzzling Rolls Royce".  Miss Piggy, on the other hand, goes for the low blow by saying that Fox News’ accusations are “almost as laughable as accusing Fox News as being…you know…news.”  Kermit responded to Piggy’s statement by saying that it is going to be all over the Internet.  And, as you can see here, he was right:
