thesubstream BEAT: January 3, 2012

Hey everyone! Hope you all had great holidays and got what you wanted from Santa. Well, minus that kid that freaked out over getting an iPod Touch. That was just weird. Anyway, I'm back for the very first edition of thesubstream BEAT for 2012! The world might end this year (okay probably not) but if it does, we'll fill your brains with so much awesome stuff that it just might explode before the apocalypse.

Here's what you may have missed over the holidays:

- 2 very special Watch This Instead episodes! The first one being the Holiday Edition featuring The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Carnage, We Bought A Zoo and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Next up, TEAM WTI chime in with their least favourite flicks of 2011. (you might just see me in it)
- Matt Brown checked out and reviewed Steven Spielberg's War Horse and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
- I Love YouTube: Mockbusters covered all your favourite Pixar and Dreamworks films... plagiarized and sold for bargain price.
- Mike and Rajo gave their Top Tens for 2011.
- Then in The Film Lab, Matt Brown begins production on his film and gives you the DL on Location Scouting, otherwise known as Recce!

This week is another action packed one starting with the DVD/Blu Ray Shed and we'll be talking Contagion and Shark Night.

We have some reviews of The Devil Inside (which I'm actually kind of excited to see) so keep an eye out for that in 2 Minute Critic and Watch This Instead.

I Love YouTube is all about fireworks accidents and who DOESN'T want to see that?

And finally this week we have TWO new episodes of The Film Lab. One is a quickie about Lens Flares which is another handy one for you DSLR users. Then Mike and Rajo covered the student open house at Whites Interactive.
