Otherworldly: The Art of Canadian Costume Design
From the "body horror" classics of David Cronenberg to the teenage werewolves of the Ginger Snaps trilogy, from the comic-book realms of Bulletproof Monk and Defendor to the delicously gory dystopia of Repo! The Genetic Opera and the breathtaking dream worlds of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, the genre of sci-fi horror and fantasy have had a long history in Canadian film, and over the decades Canadian costume designers and craftspeople have made outstanding contributions in bringing these otherworldly visions to life. TIFF's Film Reference Library has partnered with the Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design (CAFTCAD) to present such visions to our audiences in this new exhibition in the Canadian Film Gallery. Get ready to explore and celebrate some of the most fantactical achievements in Canadian costume design.

Canadian Open Vault - Hard Core Logo
Possibly Bruce McDonald’s most celebrated film, Hard Core Logo(1996) is now widely considered a Canadian classic. The subject is the disastrous reunion tour of a fabled punk band, which spins out of control as a result of lies, delusions, ambition, betrayal and psychosis. Hard Core Logo will be presented in a new print and be accompanied by a monograph about the film by Paul McEwan, co-published by TIFF and the University of Toronto Press.
Reel Talk
Reel Talk is the popular Sunday morning subscription series showcasing the best in new releases from around the world. Part of the fun is the surprise: titles are not announced ahead of time, and many of the screenings are previews of films not yet released.
